psg-1 question for a newby

I am in the middle of upgrading a psg-1 and waiting on my spring,I have already installed new gears but not sure if they are right.If I pull the little lever behind the trigger the gears will turn but they will not spin otherwise also is the top gear have a certain set point to put it at,I watched a video on utube but dont understand a word of french and that is the only video I can find.Any help wuold be greatly apprciated this is my first build.i know this gun is diffrent than everything else but surely someone here knows and i know it might be a dumb question i asked being how the gun shoots diffrent,that the cyclinder is always got the piston cocked back,but im just not sure seems it wasnt shooting right when i took it apart and i know they were freely spinning then but now they dont.

go to mechbox.com that should help you out, and make sure to place the top gear between 1 and 2 o'clock, thats what i always do and the gun always turns over.

keep us posted on your progress and sometimes posting pictures can help to solve problems, makes it easier to understand whats going on....

cheers

also I just bought the upgraded gears and spring and piston it also has the steel piston head is this gonna be durable or should i go ahead and spring for the whole ftk 300 kit although i already have the gears and piston,I just dont want to ruin the gun by breaking the mech box.

What upgrade package did you buy, i need more info.

When you place all three gears into the gearbox they should all turn over when you spin the bevel gear( its the gear that the motor hits first).

So you bought a 300% upgrade spring for the psg-1, you should pick up these two other items if your gonna run that spring;

http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1316

or this one,

http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1184

and this,

http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1317

this one is designed for a version two gearbox, just get the one thats designed for your gun.

keep us posted...
