Mounting a scope for a Sig 552
I have just recently purchased a Sig 552 Commando and I am looking into mounting a scope but the main problem is that there are no top rails, and the iron sights are pretty high up with no way to lower them leaving them in the way of the potential scope. I was wondering if there is any alternative way to mount the scope that doesnt consist of drilling new holes in the upper reciever and placing a rail there.

If you look above the gun just at the end of your foregrip handle there is a SWISS logo which is a cross and also if you look at the front of the sig frontguard which has Rails on all sides, huang sells those btw.

not on my model, i have no rails on top, only one on the side and one on the bottom, and no other apparent places to place the rail

If it'a a Tokyo Marui or a clone, you should be able to purchase a scope mount. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN IT AS YOU WILL "CRACK" THE UPPER RECEIVER!!!

This is a great gun, don't let its quirks keep you from loving it! And yes you will be able to mount the rail between the SWISS logo and the rear sight. Order the part and then decide how high your scope should be.

ya something to that effect, so basically i have to take the gun, feild strip it and put two holes in the upper receiver and add a peice to raise it over the iron sights then top it off with a rail

No. There is no tools required beyond a pair of pliers to turn the knob to tighten the scope plate. Just buy that scope mount you were linked to and you'll be fine.
