Sorbothane and Angle of Engagement
have you ever had to file any teeth of your piston to fit the sorbo pads on a v2 gearbox or any type?

I always files the second tooth on every gearbox I assemble. Always. By second, I mean the first small tooth next to the large tooth at the rear of the piston.

Wrong!
When installing a Sorbo MASK piston head, you DO NOT need to remove any teeth off your piston. When you install the MASK cylinder head with sorbo, the padding is 6mm oversize compared to stock, you must remove the second tooth on the piston to ensure proper gear engagement, or use Modify Ultra Piston Special Version (second tooth is already removed |

Yes.
Regardless of parts/names/combos/etc....always check the AOE and adjust accordingly. Run the mechbox for a couple of hundred shots...tear it open again and see if the tooth is nicked at all...then adjust if needed. Or...just remove the 2nd tooth. I've yet to see an instance where it's hurt anything to do so. |
