hey guys, i just got my 9.6v battery that i ordered for my kracken AK47 and it doesnt fit in the stock. im wondering if anyone else has the same problem, or better yet a solution. i would like to keep the appearance of my AK as realistic as possible with no attachments.

thanks in advance for the help.

The kraken and TM stocks just won't work with the larger batterys. I actually had to trade mine off for a smaller one even AFTER I had modified the stock.

Not that I can think of, There's no demand for a stock that doesn't really exsist. However you could lower your voltage a little if your willing by modding the battery pack. Technically you could go extreme and wire it so some of the pack is under the dust cover and some of it is in the stock but that's just overkill unless your planning on playing for a few days :P

what is the size of the cells / mah of your battery... i have a wood kit on my ak and before switching to lipo i needed a battery pouch on the stock to hold my 9.6 3600 mah

i think he could keep the 9.6v by reconfiguring the pack like this http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/bb-batter...tock-type.html

but again dunno if it would fit... might worth a try!

Really? I would have figured the wood stock to have a smaller inside measurement due to the obvious material restrictions. I'm still waiting on my wood :/

the battery was fitting in but was sticking out about an inch 1/2, but not all wood kits are bored the same way... but with a dremel and some patience you should be able to enlarge the hole in the stock... currently i use a 7.4v 3700mah lipo with a battery meter and it fits snug in the stock...

i have a 9.6v 3800 mah battery, and now that i have hooked it up and tested it out with a full charge i am VERY worried that i will rip my gears to shreads the minuite i feed BB's through it, the fire rate has gone crazy, at least 3x faster than with my 8.4v 1200mah battery.

EDIT: i would rough estimate......no idea, i cant even begin to count how many times it fires per second.

what were you expecting there is no way that thing is gonna fit in the stock exept mabe the pack configuration i linked...

for the gear ripping i run a 11.1v lipo on kracken's gears for 1 year... still not ripped BUT! i installed metal bushings and reshimmed it properly

thanks for all the help with this issue, in the end i went to prairie battery in winnipeg and got them to remove a cell, thus reducing the battery to a 8.4V, but it fits and still has a lot more kick than the stock batteries.

for anyone wondering about getting battery work done in winnipeg prairie battery is the way to go, 2 new adapters and forty mins of labour was only $20, the battery man store just down the street wanted $45 for EACH!
