Compact Walther P99 - What's its real name ?
Hey Guys; I am wondering if anyone can tell me what the real model number, or name is, for the compact version of the Walther P99.
I believe the Maruzen makes one of these pistols, does anyone have any experience with this gun? Is it any good? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks Gordo

Are you thinking about the Police Pistol Slim?
http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/w...3326&training= There are a few compact versions of the P99 too. You can see them in the Walther link. I have a Maruzen Five-seveN and it's a bit underwhelming. From the folks worldwide begging for more P99s I can't help but think their version of that pistol is just not quite there also.

Thanks for the response Danke!
The one that I am specifically refering to is this one; I found it on the Ehobbyasia website, but they just refer to it as a Compact P99. I just thought that the actual gun would have had its own particular designation, that why I asked the question. I guess it really is just called a Compact P99. Thanks anyway Gordo P.S. Anyone know if these are available anywhere in Canada?

It looks mostly like the P99c DAO. That is the Walther designation of this gun. Stands for P99 Compact Double Action Only. Problem is the slide looks like the older P99AS(anit stress).
Also the trigger looks more like the older AS model. The compact DAO has the glock type trigger safety. Last edited by venture; July 20th, 2009 at 16:23.. |
