peel off the pad on the back of the cylinder head, wash in warm water, stick sorbo on. If you have a regular piston head+regular sorbo, it's fine. If you have a 2 tone sorbo, you need to short-stroke the piston. If you have a thin rubber pad (2-oring cylinder head, G&P, and some others), install, then shortstroke the piston. Check for gear+piston teeth matching before reassembly.

You don't need to short stroke the piston, just check the angle of engagement and possibly shave down the last tooth.

Not sure, you may or may not have to depending on the piston head you are using. Just install it, and rotate the gears by hand with the piston in. If the gears engage properly, fine; if they don't, then you do this.

Hey sorry but I've got the same prob that this guy has, and I'm a bit confuzzled about your instructions yuhaoyang. Does the pad go on top of the piston head, or behind it? I've got a modify polycarbonate piston in my CA V2 if that helps

If you are referring to this product:
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1354

Then it goes on the cylinder head. It is the part at the front of the mechbox that the nozzle goes on, that sits at the front of the cylinder. You put this there. This is the piece that the piston head hits every time you fire. So you want the sorbo pad to be where there is going to be this contact.

So it doesn't go on the piston at all? it just sticks at the front of the cylinder?

ANother solution is to buy these 2 tone sorbo pads, then peel off the black padding from the blue and voila u have a normal sorbo pad. I did this with all my aeg's and works great.

cheers
