VSR-10 Marui Clone Spring Help

First time posting, but it seems I have run into a problem.

I purchased the following spring sniper, VSR-10 Marui Clone(http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/product...roducts_id=370) and the FPS with 0.20 BBs is to high for airsoft arenas I would probably be playing at.

I need help finding a weaker spring. Price really isn't an obstacle. The box doesn't say what spring it has and I haven't been able to find any information on it. It currently shoots around 440fps with 0.2, I need it to shoot under 400fps, but I dont want it to shoot to low far under 400fps(so 360-395 would be perfect).

Thanks for your time, and hope you can help with my situation.

Edited: So I found a spring but how do I calculate the FPS it has on .20 bbs? is there an equation Im missing?

common speed for sniper rifles is 400 to 450fps, important factor is to maintain a minimum engagement distance of at least 100 feet. Put the stock spring back in if you want to lower. That 130 spring is most likely close to the same. If you apply heat (lighter or torch) you can shrink the spring to bring down the fps; this should be done with care so you don't warp the spring. Where are you located dictates fps caps. ie: Ontario guys cap AEGS @350 and Bolt action rifles @400. The guys out west run AEGs @400fps and snipers@ ??

130SP = 450ish in a pro-sniper length barrel.

Look for an 11mm PDI 140

Stock marui VSR springs are 11mm outer diameter (9mm inner I believe)

450 +/- 30 FPS is what I remember it being... it may differ depending on barrel length and tightness.

A bolt-action shooting sub-400 would be as useless as a condom to a priest. You would be outranged by AEGs, and the ROF will rape you. This is like trying to play an arena concert with a little 15W practice amp. Forget the bolt-action and get an AEG.

i do not agree with that... my vsr10 gspec (450mm 6.01 barrel) fires at 400 +- 10 fps and i can hit a man sized target at 275 feet... 300 if there is no wind, i'm firing .30's bastards

Well thanks for all the info. I got a replacement spring (120sp) which says will give me around 400 fps with my VSR10. I'll keep the other spring for w.e, dont wanna be messing with springs and ending up with nothing.

Thanks for the help guys.

For Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw: Yea I'm probably gonna get a AEG later on but Ill stick with my Sniper, I got a Berreta IA as a side arm, so I'll have "something" against AEGs.

ALSO what BBs are best for the VSR10? Accuracy and range wise. Since I'm using 0.20bbs and 1/6 shots go crazy on me. lemegacool what do you recommend? 0.30?
