m14 Inner barrel

hey guys, so im looking at getting a 6.03 inner barrel for my CYMA M14. this is not the SOCOM version, but rather the full lenght m14. the question i have for you is will this barrel fit into my m14

http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/upgrade-p...pec-555mm.html

i know that it will be fine lenght wise, what i am wondering about is if there is a deference in the way that inner barrels are shaped, the barrel i am wanting to buy is for a VSR10 / G-Spec.

basically, will this mount with my current hop up system, and is there something extra that i need by having a barrel longer than 500mm.

thanks

In having a barrel longer than 500mm, your inner barrel will stick out of your muzzle, and you'll need a silencer that's at least ~7 cm long to cover it. (Before you order your silence, be sure to check with you the CYMA M14 threaded barrel is CW or CCW)

Now I believe that the VSR hop-up unit is different, and thus would be incompatible.

For the length you're wanting, I'd suggest spending $4 more and getting this one:
Prometheus 550mm barrel
That last 5mm won't make a noticeable difference, and this way you'll be sure it'll fit your hop-up.

Hope this helps.

No that barrel won't fit.

I found this out the hard way, M14s use different inner barrels then any other AEG. The notches, cut into the barrel for the hop-up clip are in a different spot. If you buy a barrel for a standard AEG, it won't fit.

Can't speak for sniper rifles, not sure how the hop-up works with them.

Also, +1 to buying a prothemus barrel, just make sure you have the right one.

get this one : http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=2131

Your owning a M14 here, everything is more expensive than everyone CYMA m14 should fit TM's barrel because CYMA is a clone of TM (in terms of M14)

Damn, my bad. Thanks for pointing him in the right direction.

At least I learned something.

Oh, and get a new rubber with that barrel, specifically a gaurder clear. They're cheap but work great. (That is, unless M14 barrels need special hop-ups?)
