TM M14 question
Can you use a real rear sight assembly on a tm m14?

Answer: YES!!!!
To be exact, a post war M1 Garand rear sight fits with very minor changes to the spring plate. A real m14 sight would fit just the same. I now have a real steel rear sight on my M14. Hoo ray. |

congrats! personally i dont see the point, but that is cause i use a scope exclusively. still its a very cool add-on and worthy to mention. KUDOS!
EDIT: forgot to add, you may want to consider taking pictures of what you did to modify the RS sight and how to install it onto your M14 just for future reference from other users. |

I took off my rear sight awhile ago so I could put on an odd shape scope. I have since misplaced the rear sight and needed a replacement, no one sells them. So I bought a real one. TADA
The mods are easy, no need to explain. Last edited by Tankdude; September 30th, 2009 at 21:22.. |
