They can use TM mags, but some brands such as KA and MAG need to be (easily) modified so that they catch properly.

I have some KA plastic mags, and they feed perfectly. Although I had to dremel the 'catch lip' on the mag so it would properly catch under the mag catch of the gun. The lip is a bit too fat on the mags stock.

If you check the reviews section for my Type 56 review, I have pics of what I modified on the mag to fit.

how big of a battery can one fit in the stock?
im trying to decide if i should go with the fixed stock or one of the 2 folding ones.
the only reason for me to chose the fixed one is if i can fit a big lipo battery in it.
happy for quick replys since i need to order tomorow.
kind regards

You can fit 2 cells inside the stock.

The stock's not designed for a battery.

Although... I do remember the one I worked on had a cavity that went all the way to the other end of the stock, so depending on the battery you put in there... you might be able to fit a LIPO...

One question that’s being discussed right now in Sweden is whether or not its possible to attach real ak stocks WITHOUT major dremel/chainsaw modifications to the Real sword 56.

Anyone???

RS 56's are built like a bank vault. They are a stone b*tch to take apart...but that's a good thing.

Internals are decent. There's room in the stock for a 7.4v 2xxx LiPo brick. It's one of the nicest AEGs I've ever come across.
