VSR-10 Trigger Problem

I recently got some upgrades for my Tokyo Marui VSR-10, one of them being a new 150 spring.

After installing the new spring and reassembling, I tried to cock it.
...
The trigger didn't catch. Upon further inspection, I have identified that the problem is that the piston sear is not catching on the piston (Maybe it's sliding off?)
So I went back to my old stock spring and it works.
Hmm...

Everything is stock except the spring, I should add that the spring is verrrry hard to cock (as wrong as that sounds)

Any help would be greeatly appreciated.

If you just put a really strong spring in, your rifle will be torn apart. You will need a Zero or V trigger to at least save the sears.

Congratulations, you broke your sears!

I didn't just put the spring in, I got a Laylax Damper Cylinder head and a steel spring guide too.

I was thinking, maybe the catch on the piston is the problem? Because I took a look at it, and it seems pretty worn down.

And for the sears, there not broken.
I can't really afford a new trigger, so I was hoping this would work out somehow. Soooo...
I'll get a Zero Trigger, but seeing as everything airsoft in Canada is almost twice the price from ordering from the US, I'm ordering from there.
Do you know if they'll stop a trigger assembly at the borders?

VSR sears always break with heavier springs. Even upgraded sears will eventually break, seen it before. V Trigger or Zero Trigger is the only option for heaiver springs in that rifle.

No, you can get upgraded sears from PDI... but it's really not worth it, for an extra 50 bucks you can get the V-trigger and not have to deal with the 45* piston engagement that makes an awful, awful grinding noise when you cock the bolt.

If your sears aren't broken (which it sounds to me like they are) they will be very shortly. The moment you go 1 FPS over 400, Marui sears will break (made to be this way by Marui to stop people from breaking Japan's 1J Law)

Quantis broke his upgraded sears not long after putting in a spring to get him closer to 450fps.

My VSR lasted almost 2000 rounds with the stock sears
The moment you go over 400fps, they fail!
+1 to the zero trigger

i'm running my vsr-g with laylax sears and 410 fps spring... works beautifully! but i once tried a 150 spring just for shit and giggles and the sears wouldnt catch... plus the pull was horrible so i immediatly removed it!

plus! if you intend to game you vsr a 150 spring is just insane... you wont get allowed on any field... also 400fps is a sweet spot for bolt actions...
