JP barrel kits. 12" ans 7" specifically.
Hello experienced experts! I have come to ask some questions about some items and their compatibility with others parts. What I have been looking at is the 7" hand guard barrel kits and the 12" hand guard barrel kit from JP. Specifically I was recommended these kits and I'll provide a link to them on the site I was looking at them on for additional information I leave out.
The main thing I'm wondering is about the little block they mount on the barrel at the front of the guard. I saw a few pics of the kit spread out and it appears that it is not integrated into the barrels in anyway so I'm wondering it is decorative or if it is a forward contact point with the hand guard. The main reason I wanna know about this is one thing I wanna try with these hand guards is mounting a suppressor so it sinks into the hand guard. Additional to that I'm wondering what else I'd need to get to use these kits. I currently only have a stock G&G "G16 carbine" but I'm probably gonna also get the M16 version to work with these two kits. Thanks in advance for any info. http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_i...ducts_id=29256 http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_i...ducts_id=29255 Last edited by Lord of Rebirth; January 30th, 2010 at 21:32.. the gasblock acts as a female adapter for the different length barrels. i personally am not sure if you could remove the gasblock and install a silencer instead. if it is possible, i cant wait to see pics.

You would need to use a different, shorter, outer barrle then the one that comes with the handguard set for that to work.

Of course I'd use the shorter 7" hand guard on the longer M-16 with probably the longest barrel until I get an L96 sniper to play with. |

Treading used in the gas block is not 14mm, so you won't be able to attach anything to the end of that barrel.
You would need a CQB or 14.5" barrel and then attach a silencer to it with the handguard. |
