Mod: SKS flash hider custom fit Ak
So I am not sure if I have this in right place,
So I was wondering If I could mod the ak-47 lug to fit an SKS flash hider over top it and then use a few grub screws to hold it in place. I am sitting here looking at the sks flash finder and the lug. Has anyone else tried this. Yes I am aware that they do make many different flash hiders and most sks flash hiders are available.

Hi,
not too sure what the question is exactly but i ordered a 14 mm ccw tap on ebay and it didn't cost much compared to those you can find on other machinery tools stores and i already made a silencer using a dollar store aluminum large flashlight and i must say it looks pretty f good. If you receive a flash hider and the treads are not 14mm ccw i think it would be a bad idea to die the treads on the tip of your ak cause it would cause them to shear if you thight too much. Hope it answered your question. If you need info you can always pm me (also sorry for the flaming and i'm really not a troll hope you will understand). I like your spetz uniform too i'm into ak's mostly. Regards. |

actually I believe the inner dia of the flash hider is 16mm, so in turn I would have to turn a spacer with a 14mm- and then turn the outer dia of the spacer to whatever thread I wanted to use then use a die to cut a thread on the flashhider.
So in other words I need lathe and a milling machine, but no room. I still haven't found any where to do my apprenticeship yet.
