The right most leaf spring is supposed to be bent "inward"(as in, towards the front of the gun) so that it contacts the disconnector(thus pushing it up).
Take a picture of your sear and hammer....it could be worn and thus not catching properly. TM's although made of pot metal, they are plated quite well that they are rarely wornout(my first Hi-Capa, used, did have it worn out, and a new hammer and sear did the trick). I have no idea how WEs' are, but I'd bet they are pretty shitty. good news is if you are getting a full Illusion Kinetic treatment with the frame and what not, toss everything WE and just keep the WE grip....The frame will come with its own sear, striker, and you can get steel hammer and disconnect, and valve reset extra.... i think i have already broken the 1000 dollar mark, and i have yet to actually get any parts in besides the gun, and the donor gun
but, the parts are paid for, so it is just a matter of time for things to be machined and shipped. i cant wait to see this thing when its done, cause it is gonna ne a hell of a gun!!!! what does living in the US have to do with it tho? i mean, cant you buy parts from the same places i buy mine? uncompany, redwolf, brian (ILLusion aka kinetik)? my gun from redwolf was in my hands (from hong kong) in 4 days from the moment i paypal'd the loot for it. that was FAST! |

We have to buy guns imported through special channels.
A stock BNIB TM 5.1 goes for $350-$380 |

holy crap!!!!!!!!! mine was 133 plus shipping. i think the total was 150 or somewhere around there for a BNIB TM 5.1 pictured above. if it were 350 ish, i wouldnt even build one. that difference is almost the cost of a custom made slide for christ's sake!

i am well aware of the cost of those, i was going to do a full custom frame, but honestly don't have the money. although, i could buy a REAL STEEL glock 26 for the price i spent on my TM G26 slide (the guarder steel slide). no joke, i spent a fortune on that slide, but to me, it is worth it. i think i pretty much have the most realistic G26 money can buy/build. so i guess the "bragging rights" are what cokmpelled me.
once i am done with this hi-capa, i will likely sell them both (the G26 and the TM 3.8) and buy another RS G26 or H&K USP compact, or a Walther P99, or something else fun and small. what i really want to do is get rubber bullets, and keep it in my nightstand. the G27 is a hand cannon (my real one) and will likely be gone soon for a gun with a little less snap. thus my going to a 9mm sub-compact RS pistol. i have even been looking at the G36 due to its slim frame. easier to CCW in my opinion, and since i am licensed, i like the idea to be able to conceal better. plus, like the g27, you can make the gun able to fire smaller rounds, like a .22, or a 9mm for instance. i just wish there was a mag "butt plate" like i have on my G26/G27 (airsoft and RS) to hold my pinky for the G36, but they are all blocky, not angles like pictured below.... i like the angle, not the blocky bottom like this.... ok, enough of this RS talk, back to airsoft stuff.... lol, sorry for taking my own thread totally off topic. |

due to an unforeseen legal issue that i have just been notified of, i am forced to abort this project and sell all of my airsoft toys.
i am terribly sad to say this, but this thread is no longer active, as is the build. sorry guys, i cannot move forward.
