The ones I am familiar with are all sold in complete front end sets. That is not to say that they do not exist, I myself have just never encountered them sold individually at that length. I have seen shorter rail riser units but nothing as a single unit that was designed to mount on the front end and the upper.

It isnt part of the whole unit , it can be bought seperately.
The rail in the pic you posted looks more like an armalite spr rail than the arms. Either way , you can get a real armalite rail from wolverine supplies for around $150. The real arms SPR rail is $100 us. Im not sure how much the knock off is but it shouldnt be much more than that. |

This riser requires it to be secured by two screws at the front-end of it. The rear is held on using standard rail mounts but I don't think you will be able to secure the front-end on a rail system that it wasn't made for.

I can confirm this about the screws. I used to have a cheapo SPR, and that top rail was one of the best things about that design. It made the gun feel bigger, badder, and the fact that it brings your sights up above the regular rail is a big plus for me. I guess it might not be too hard to secure the front end by drilling matching holes into whatever front end you may have and then using bolts to attach....not pretty, but it'd work.

The Armalite spr rail can be mounted to a ris rail with out screwing through the top. It uses all of the cross bolted type mounts even on the front.
