The Inokatsu Super Version Bible

This thread is a place to document fixes for problems pertaining to the Inokatsu Super Version M4 and M16 "M5".

I'm one of the first owners of an INO SV here in Canada, and I'm finding that it is a great gun, but like most out there has a few quirks. I hope that by documenting problems that I (and anyone else, please do post up) come across future owners can have an easier time of things.

1. Light Strikes: The INO SV has a weak hammer spring, which can cause a "light strike". This means that the hammer will fail to depress the magazine's valve pin enough for gas to be released.

Solution: Replace w/ G&P 120% hammer spring. A note, ACM springs may be too powerful for some magazines like PRO-WINs, some experimentation may be req'd if you try to save some money on a china made hammer spring.

2. Trigger pin failure: The INO SV also has a weak trigger pin; it may not provide enough tension to keep the trigger pin in, causing it to fall out of one of it's holes in the receiver, moving your trigger out of alignment and causing a failure to fire.

Solution: Install a set of anti-rotation links. Some superglue should work short term; or
Install enhanced spring set.

3 Bolt Carrier does not move into battery: The bolt carrier will not return fully forward, and rounds are not going downrange.

Solution: If your bolt carrier does not move back into battery after a round is fired, attempt to use the forward assist. If that does not remedy it then perform the immediate action for a stoppage with the bolt partially forward;

a) Cant rifle to the left, confirm bolt partially forward;
b) Pull back cocking handle, cant rifle to the right and attempt to shake the obstruction out. If it is a jammed round/double feed you will need to use a small tool to clear the obstruction;
c) Attempt to return the bolt to battery; and
d) If rounds go downrange, carry on.

If the bolt will still not return to battery, check the face of your bolt head. You may find the remains of smashed bb's encrusted in the bolt head. If this is the case, you will need to pop out the forward and rear receiver pins as the bolt will not come forward enough to break down the receiver with just the rear pin. Remove the bolt and clean the bolt head.

4 Trigger and hammer pins "walk": The hammer and trigger pins "walk" out of the receiver due to the vibrations from recoil during full auto fire.

Solution: While a dab of superglue will work in the short term, a longer term solution is either;

a) Replace trigger, hammer springs w/ reinforced set. (I have a 130% trigger spring and my pin stills walks, so this may not work); or
b) Install anti-rotation links. These are external bars that attach to replacement pins that are tapped for screws. The links stop rotation of the pins, and prevent them from walking out of the receiver.

My teammate and gun doc just tear my Super M4 apart to replace the stock Inokatsu springs, but to our surprise my Super M4 springs are actually stronger and stiffer than the replacement G&P 130% the stock Black Inokatsu springs are way stiffer than the replacement G&P if fact the only one we swap out was the spring for the nub for the selector switch, which resulted in a more crisp action and not as hard as the stock switch when moving from safety to semi to auto. Maybe the latest batch of Super Inokatsu have the issues fixed.
