SPR Internals
What is a better idea to put in my gun? Systema motor and gear box or G & P? Money is not the problem. My concern is that the Systema internals will break easily? Can someone please give me some advice?

What makes you think they would break easily?

I don't know its just that it would have alot of stress on it for having such a fast rate of fire. Was just wondering and also 8.4 or 9.6v battery?

What I have been hearing about Systema internals is that their quality has gone down in recent years, and that their individual parts are nowhere near the quality of their PTWs. Anyone with more knowledge/experience that can confirm this? This of course all comes down to opinion but at the end of the day I wouldn't think Systema and G&P are too far apart on the quality spectrum. I would personally go with G&P but thats just me.

Recently did a drop in G&P m120. Working great. An upgrade piston was included in my order because the stock ones like to shatter after a little while. Was a nice touch as it saves his ears when I complain I blew it up and need to order a new one. Haha.
Playing the wait and see game now but at least I'm expecting it to happen eventually instead off it surprising me at a game. |

For performance wise how much difference would there be between the systema and G & P?

Also depends what you mean by "performance". |

What i mean is fire rate. Also not to sound like a noob or anything, but the Systema motor and Gearbox are like 150 bucks more then the G & P so i just thought that it would be better. Could someone tell me whats the difference?

All depends on the motor, spring, gears, and battery involved.
None of which you have listed. |

So you want a SPR with a high ROF?.... euh.... and with a 9.6v... the ROF wont be Incredibly fast, and no interrnals will break on a 9.6v battery...
And like Styrak said... it all depends on the internals, not the brand of the gearbox..... It's like buying a wallet, it could be Fossil brand or Gucci... if you have no money to put in it... there's no point in buying..... |

Scurvy +1.
Id say systema or ics motor, systema hop up rubber, prometheus gears, prometheus spring guide with bearing and a prometheus arl, depending on the fps you want and how much rof you want either a guarder blue piston or a deepfire titanium. Get a bore up kit from systema or an enhanced cylinder set from guarder which is much cheaper just try to remember to match your barrel and cylinder. Get a mosfet switch and yes 9.6 nimh batt with at least 2000mah. If youre a good and careful gun tech go lipo. btw nothing wrong with a 10.8V Batts chances are your field limit is 420fps Last edited by Exhopek; May 21st, 2010 at 09:43.. |

systema turbo motor is ideally suited for an m100 spring. With and m120 you're better off with the g&p m140 or 160. And i'd go with a g&p drop in. I'm getiing about 22 rps with a g&p drop in and m160 motor on a 7.4v 20c lipo and 21 rps on another g&p drop in and Systema magnum motor same battery. Both are far above and beyond what you'll need for an spr.
