Bollé fog up a lot when using a ghillie suit and crawling. Close to the ground, there is close to no air circulation.

In Québec, there is only 2 fields that require closed goggles. All the others let us choose.

Hey guys, sorry for bumping this, but I see there's a few Ice users here.

I'm looking into the 2X plus Rx Inserts.

I plan into using them for both airsoft (dark lense) and school (clear lense, I need safety glasses )

The thing is, I can wear contact lenses, but I'm not huge fan of them. I don't mind wearing them for airsoft games, but I can't stand them everyday for school.

I've been looking for the inserts to wear with the clear-lense. I'm wondering, how far are they sitting from the face? I don't have the issue of BB entering by the side, it's more about not looking like a fool.

Thank you very much!

+1 ESS ICE glasses, I use them for work and airsoft
Getting a BB from the backside depends on the shape of your face, but at the steep angle that it would need to actually get into the glasses, it would actually be forced to roll along the curve of the lense and hit the nosepiece before it hit your eye.
2 and a half years and I've still never had any problems with them! They're even good with fogging!

Are you using Inserts with them?

If so, Vice or P-2B?

Ive tried JT's, ESS NVG Profiles (with and without inserts), Mesh, swimming goggle style (forget what they are called) and CF Issues.

JT's permafogged on the first day (i know alot of people had good results, but this was mine)

ESS NVG Profiles work fine, but glasses + inserts inside the ESS's fog constantly making them effectively useless for me.

Swimming Goggle style doesnt let your eyes breathe, makes em uncomfortable for longer games.

Ive had good results with mesh, of course you have to ensure no bio bb's are being used on the field. I also highly recommend you remove the stock foam and replace it with something much higher quality.

CF Sawflys are my fav. When possible, i use em over any other eye protection. I have a fairly wide face, so chances of rounds hitting from behind or sides is pretty much nil. In addition to that, if im wearing my ghillies, the hood and scope pretty much cover about a 240 degree angle, covering any of the alleged "weak spots".

Ultimately, the goggle rules are up to the field owner, saying that some field owners are "paranoid" and require Paintball goggles or w/e is pretty dumb. Its the field owner's neck on the line, and not everyone will take the same risks as others. Not all fields have a good solid playerbase of people who know each other well enough to take those risks etc. After all, its HIS property, HIS liability and HIS insurance thats on the line, not yours. Complaining about it just makes you sound like an ass.

One of my teamate have the insert, and he say he won't game them, because they make the glasses sit too far in front of his eyes, making the sides vulnerable to impacts.

I use those

http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/satellite...th-fan-od.html

Never had any fog, I do use fog tech all the time with them,

They provide a good field of vision

Did you consider a leaper scope with long eye relief, make it easier with goggle on
