Have you considered building her a set of webbing? You could put together a US ALICE set for cheap, then once she gets into the sport you could look into a nice web set made w/ HSGI, or London Bridge components etc.
Webbing should allow her freedom of movement but still get the job done load carriage wise. |

Yeah, seriously.
It sounds like you're setting her up to be a liability more than an asset for the team she's on. I dunno where or whom you play with; if its just small games with buddies then whatever. But if you're coming out to organized events, while you and a small handful of people might get a chuckle out of it and think its cute, you'll find its a great way to get the bulk of serious players annoyed with you in a big hurry. BDUs: they're standard. Get the right size and they'll fit properly. Its not hip hop fashion, its not supposed to wear baggy. Get a combat shirt instead of a BDU blouse if you're worried about heat. Vest: get a basic vest or something useful for the gun she's using. Boots: seriously, were stiletto heels ever an option being considered? Goggles/shooting glasses: I think most women prefer the Bolle T800s since they're a bit smaller. Gloves: Mechanix are cheap and will protect from impacts. Mouthguard: You probably don't want a gf missing a bunch of teeth. Protechs are small and comfortable. Hydration: a Camelbak or something is useful. Teach her to hydrate properly. Additional requirements will become known as needs develop.

Wooooooooo I think you guys misinterpreted what I was asking for. I'm not looking to dress her up as a showgirl. I was just asking advice on what the other female members were using as kit. Obviously the corset is not appropriate for skirmishes.
I'm sorry if I ruffled any feathers with the local players (altough I'm kind of wondering how) After some testing tonight, we realized that she welts VERY easily from shots that barely leave a mark on me. So I think we'll end up going for more rather than less kit.

She's the one who asked. How could I say no?

I wouldn't have.
http://www.warriorco.com/product/ins...-vest-unissued Get this with the burka. Great for M11 mags. Or get a chicom for AK mags. |

I'd rather have her know right now than wanting to leave a half-hour into a skirmish.
I already ordered http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/ai...ster_Sling.htm for her M11A1 since it's also a sling. It'll also fit the MP5K in case she'd rather use that. I'm looking into all suggestions though. I can never have enough spare kit to loan to friends.

That SMG vest is pretty big... it'd probably take MP5 mags.
I'd rather a girl found out that it hurts to get hit when she's having fun playing airsoft, rather than when she's sitting at home on a computer chair scared as you count down the seconds before you shoot her. |

ok Kid, stop what you doing right there, your makin me question your resolve around women.
Lorden, TT MAV, and if you were joking about the corset thing in your first post you should have said so, then asked your question seperatly "In all seriousness what is the best vest/rig befitting to the female figure?" women can fit prettymuch anything we can allbeit a few sizes smaller (hopefully, if not you should get her into jogging rather than airsoft) if she has a large bust as I said before get a rig that will rest on the stomach (and not that chicom style travesty Kid pointed out there, it looks like it would take up an entire torso). if she has a normal female figure go ahead with a plate carrier you may have to take the sapi plates out to make it comfortable as vests were made with the males squareish torso in mind not the hourglass shape of a woman (again, hopefully). *and no I will not throw up pictures of my girlfriend in full kit you sicko's if she's only toting a Mac11 then she won't need much, that shoulder harness will do. /Thread |
