BBs will fit through according to this:

Why would you need a video? just take your mask... and try to fit a bb through the holes... I doubt any bb could fit throught the Proshield mask...

PS: why are you scared of having a bb hit your face? how about the back of your head? your hand? your neck?

IMO you should wear a complete bomb squat suit for maximum protection...

JK.... but ya.... stop beeing so scared.... and go have some fun on the field!

He's just trying to be safe, I don't think he portrayed any "whining" in his posts. On topic, yes they are 100% safe. Even if a BB CAN get through, it wouldn't hurt, as the velocity would probably be decreased to next to nothing with the resistance of the mask.

It's not that I'm scared, I just don't want to risk broken teeth anymore. I rush in CQB and get hit all the time...I've just been lucky so far to not have any direct hits to my mouth area yet.

Second, I can't just try forcing bb's through the JT spectra pro mask since I don't have it, I'm asking you guys since I'm *considering* it. That video demonstrated that so many JT masks failed to stop bbs from penetrating the mouth area so I'm inductively assuming the JT spectra is no different.

If safety (namely the integrity of your teeth and mouth) is considered whiny then I'm assuming you're the "badass" type that proves how hardcore they are by not wearing a mask at all.

Easy tiger.

There are a number of solutions available.

For instance, I wear ESS goggles with the low profile lower from a cheapy mask zip tied to the bottom. This allows proper cheek weld, and protects my mouth, teeth, cheeks from direct BB to skin impact.

Get creative. If all else fails. Wear a paintball mask.

If your playing indoors, full mask definitely. Outdoors, you could do this for sure, but if you hate anything over your mouth like I do, just keep your mouth closed If it's outdoors, usually it's not that close that it will still break a tooth if it hits your lip. Another tip would be don't peek only your face or head out as then it would be their only target to shoot. At least here, your not supposed to shoot anyone in the head UNLESS that's the only thing they give you to shoot. That being said, this is airsoft and airsoft shots aren't lazers, so there will always be flyers and accidents that could hit you or others in the face. It's just a part of the game.

No I just know not to expose my teeth.. Its simple. Use your lips to protect your teeth while you breath or whatever it is your doing.

I don't need to prove anything.

Get a mouth guard. I thought someone would suggest this by now.

That will probably protect your mouth the most.

There are also low profile paintball/airsoft goggles) that will protect the mouth.

Wearing a balaclava will help take hits too the face and neck too.

And if you are still worried you can buy custom army of two masks which are like wielders masks (not the crappy plastic ones that everyone sells but with awesome designs and such. I was going to buy one of these however paintball goggles are required at our local field so I had too scrap that idea. They usually sell for $100+. Atleast with this you get full face protection, a sick unique look, and a well made mask that would probably be impossible to be destroyed by a bb.

I use paintball goggles with a shemagh and neoprene mask it covers the important stuff and you don't sacrifice your teeth or a cheek weld like with most masks.

The goggles are fine to take a BB but if you're not convinced test them on something before you use. Its them better losing money on crappy goggles than losing your eyes.
