Please for the love of God make sure your actors don't exagerrate the recoil.

Remove spring & follower.

If you need to show the slides locking back just use your thumb on your weak hand to push the slide lock up (pistol only)

Yes it makes it so much easier on set and in post to have it cycle through properly and safely

Really? iv been in the camera department for about 2 years now and i can honestly say never once that i have had airsoft on set, has it been fired. there is just no point. an aegs fire rate is different from an m4, there is no noticeable recoil and you will have to take that stupid gearbox whine out in post. if your really that set on it get some kjw gbbr's or hire a professional armorer.

as for actors, knowing they have been shot, the squib going off on them is usually a good indication that they have been shot lol. and where there is no squib a director will call out who gets shot when.

this is for other actors (to know when they have been shot), editing, post effects (sound timing etc)

Interestingly enough I was part of a film shoot today that involved aeg's.

Its all about preparation and Planning, you do what you can with what you have, i happen to have these gas blowback pistols and m11A1, So i would like them to do their motions of cycling. if the gun does not have any moving parts as far as (slides, hammers, actions) then i do not need an electric gear wind noisy gun to fire as long as it looks the part that is the goal.

again thank you all for the suggestions and pointers.

TBH u don't need to do the blow back action for guns, you can do all that in aftereffects, go watch freddiew on youtube, he has the blowback action done all on after effects.

and work on the glock 17, all you need to do is fire the gun holding the slide catch down, its close enough to do it with one hand and u can also do it with both hands obviously. its not that hard.......
