returning airsofter looking to get GHK AKM or Real Sword type 56
hi, im looking to get back in to airsoft, im from vancouver and new to the forum .i would like to meet some players in this area.
first thing first, i need a gun. (last AEG i owned was a marui AR form 12 year ago. ) i pretty much got things down to GHK akm and RS type 56. from all the research and reviews ive been reading for the pass month. there really isnt much bad to say about these two and it really comes down to weather i want a GBB or AEG. well i am leaning towards the GBB as i do like the sound and recoil (and the wood looks real nice too + Russian markings ) but the type 56 seems to be more authentic in terms of the materials being use,but lacks the blow back. if you guys could give me some input on which gun to get then itd be great. i could get the 56 from milsig locally but where do one buy a GHK in canada? thanks ! |

Get age verified and then contact one of the retailers.

best bet is to talk to the guys at Airsoftgear + op-for.

look up
Op-For BCAC and FVAA .. they are the major airsoft groups in your area (that I know of) .. they will contain ASC age verifiers .. and also contacts/info for local sales, etc... great resources in all groups and they all intermingle, etc

i agree to get verified but because your asking for a opinion and not where to buy them i will say the following.
if you plan to game with these guns get the RS because its an aeg. i say this because gbbr are fairly new to the market and have a smaller group on gundocs and they can be expensive if the gun isn't exactly what you want. if you plan to "plink" with it or have it as a wallhanger id say get the gbbr because they are hella cool

as for the rifle choice..
get both... just get the RS first, use it, love it have a nice reliable excelent electric you can count on... then get the GBBR to play with .. tinker, maintain, swear at.. etc

Sent you some info. Check your PM's.
I don't know much about the GHK but from what I understand it's shit out of the box. If you get something like the "Samoon" upgrade parts then it becomes better but I personally wouldn't get a GBBR as a "first/only gun". Don't get me wrong they're awesome but I would personally keep a secondary in my car just in case it goes down. Hell even if it's a cheapo Aftermath Kraken as a backup at least you can still play if your GBBR goes down.

Thanks guys. I got my AV done yesterday at milsig. I do plan to get both RS and ghk. For the exact reason some one have mentioned. AEG would be good for game and the ghk is gonna be a plink and wall piece. I'll check out all the stores u guys have provided me. Thanks again!
