VFC M-4 E series mag compatibility?

i just recently picked up an extremely nice VFC M-4 E series from a guy here on asc. from the research that i did on it it told me that all mags were compatible with it. however, i got it in the mail today and tried some of my king arms mags and star and mag brand mags and none of them work. did i miss something in my research? are the VFC E series M-4's only able to use VFC M-4 mags? if so where do i get them?

I have two Polar Star guns (stock PR-15 Tactical and A VFC Combat Master E3 upgraded with a Fusion Engine). Both are VFC bodied guns. Neither is too happy with PTS PMAG's, but PTS EMAG's work great. Haven't tried the cheap green label EMAG's.

I have a Socom Gear Noveske N4 which is basically the same gun. I found the old metal adventure line TM mags to be quite lose in the mag well. I had to keep pushing up on the mag just to get them to feed... Nothing some soft side Velcro tape couldn't fix. Now they fit great and feed with no issues. I hope this helps.

I have a VFC M-4 E series "Quake" My plastic King Arms mid caps work flawlessly. Altough I did have to break them in a little or else they would not feed when new. All I did was fill them up with about 80-90 bbs then emptied and repeat couple times, im guessing the spring was to tight...

i have the same gun and i am finding that all of my 68rnd metal mid-caps will litterally fall out of the mag well unless held in. i have 10 king arms metal midcaps, and 10 star brand metal mid caps which all fit and feed great in my two other m-4's and my scar-l. i don't know what brand they are but i have 6 black plastic midcaps with H&K markings on them that seems to fit and feed fine. just frustrating that i now have to figure out what ones will and won't work and then spend more money!

that's an easy fix with velcro tape, use the soft side not the scratchy side on the inside of the magwell. 2 bucks problem solved. I used black, you can't notice it.
