When was the last time the FAQ was updated?
When was the last time the FAQ was updated?
2008 was the last date stamp in the thread but I'm reasonably certain that with many of the changing laws around real steel firearms, laws concerning Airsoft may have been altered as well. one I'm particularly interested in is the "Orange Tip" rules. the FAQ states: Q: Do airsoft guns in Canada need to have orange tips? Do orange tips affect the status of airsoft guns in Canada? A: No. The "orange tip" requirement is a US-based law. Is this still correct? Are there any transportation laws, regulations or rules of thumb that have changed? Is un-loaded + de-gassed, in a case, in the trunk/rear of the hatch/out of reach of occupants of the vehicle still good enough? BTW, having an "Airgun" with a gas supply attached in a moving vehicle is a serious offence and can land you in Federal Prison. just an FYI. can you imagine trying to sound tough in Kingston Penn when they find out you are doing 15 to 20 because you had a gassed up BB gun... Keep it in a case, and for gas guns, it is Ok to have gas IN the mags (its best that you always have gas in your mags) but AEG, GAS, SPRING, its always best to NEVER has your your mag in unless you are playing.

Orange tips not required at all.
Have it in a proper case, gun cases can be had for cheap at Canadian Tire. A lock is ideal IMO. Unloaded is just a good idea for all the right reasons. Back seat or trunk ideal of course, again for all the right common sense reasons. Gas in the mags is fine, it's best to keep some in there in order to keep the seals in good order. (There are a few threads on this.)

Orange tip is a US law, why would it affect Canadian laws?
Also, real steel laws have not changed, unless you mean the most recent scrapping of the long gun registry, but that doesn't change anything regarding airsoft guns. |

I have searched of the answers and found nothing but contradictory anecdotes. Thought this part of the forum was intended to help those new to the sport; not a place to make yourself feel important by bashing the new guy. looking forward to meeting you on the field one day. |

Hey look everybody its a new guy who asks questions, tries telling us crap something about federal prison and a gas type gun, and has an attitude, and I stopped caring. Take the attitude somewhere else. The laws are clearly defined. If your looking for facts call the RCMP or your local Police, the internet is a repository for info. NOT to spoonfeed you.

I think it's a new guy who doesn't like the "was that so hard " comment in the link and i can relate to that- Sometimes you want the opinion of age verified mostly canadian fellow airsofters not lessons on how to google.

Well pizza delivery boy, this 46 year old combat veteran is not frightened of you or any childish remarks you launch in my direction. if you had any real back bone you would be in the Forces shooting Real Steel. not Flaming people online. so, Bowmanville. Might have to visit for a game/event sometime. You'll know me; I don't hide behind an online persona or a mask. btw, I was age verified Monday, April 16, 2012. it just has not posted as yet. arguing online is kind of like competing at the Special Olympics; even if you win your still retarded. Mate, I've enlisted, im in processing. Congratulations, hopefully one day we'll train together. And no persona here, no BS, just plain the way I see it.
Sadly in Bowmanville we have no events, I gotta drive to them. The car helps with that.

2) this was no threat; simply stating that should we come face to face, things will be settled on the field. 3) a grenade fragment saw to it that I will never be active in the sand box again, my left arm is some what less than factory original so I would be a liability in real action these days. also means that I will not be training with you anytime soon. Although I do have a standing invite in Texas to be "OPFORCE" for the Marines training there. 4) no I don't go around beating on people. But I don't let people denigrate me either.
