Magpul Edition KWA LM4 RIS

Hi guys

So I just got this KWA LM4 from the classifieds, and previous owner installes a Madbull Noveske RIS on it and a magpul AFG-1

I has the brilliant idea of wanting to switch the DE AFG from the LM4 with the black one I have on my KingArms AEG (Larue RIS)

RIS/RAS, i always mix them up... Free floating anyways..

So while the one on the KA slodes freely without problems, the one on the LM4 seems to be stuck like crazy. I (almost) gently hammered it to slide it down, but half way I noticed the RIS was wobbling a bit :S

I have no idea how this thing is actually holding on the receiver and if I screwed it for good or what

Any pointers/advices?

Thanks! Good news please! But I'll take the bad ones too

So nobody's able to give any pointers or anything?

I tried looking up on how to install or remove the RIS so I can inspect the problem, but I couldn't find any installation guide yet. If anyone has something to put me in the right direction that'd be at least that

Thanks!

You may have more luck on the KWA forums.
Seeing as there are probably a grand total of about 10 Magpul KWA LM4 RISs in the country right now, you're probably not going to get a reply in 12 hours..overnight.

Good point, but I figured the issue pertains more to the Madbull's RIS than the gun itself.

But I did post in the KWA forum, will see if there's more info coming from there.

Thanks

Madbull RIS have more coating and the AFG don't slide on it. You have to file down the AFG or slam it in with a hammer...

Wow, I'm an idiot and didn't read. Sorry about that, I was thinking you were asking about the KWA RIS instead of the Madbull Noveske RIS.

The Madbull Noveske RIS is attached to the upper receiver via the slip ring which replaces the standard delta ring. If there is wobble, chances are the screws securing the RIS to the slip ring are loose and/or the slip ring is loose against the upper receiver.

From my experience the Madbull products are more on-spec than anything else, so your AFG is probably off-spec.

No, it's definitely the RIS. I have two different MadBull Daniel Defense RIS, and my AFG's both have to be smashed on, as do most of the rail covers I've tried. Same thing on the MadBull L85 RIS...

Thanks for the info, it does confirms a few things at least - I'll try to remove the RIS then remove the AFG, file it down a bit and hope that I haven't screwed the threads on that slipring and/or receiver ...

Update:

So there was more fear than anything
Disassembled all the guacamole, turns out the bolts was not too tight and started to unscrew themselves. Tightening solved the issue...

Yeap, I do feel stupid
