KWA USP ROF upgrade

I apologize if I am somehow breaking rules, I'm new here.

Anyway, I'm thinking about raising the ROF of my KWA USP. I plan on doing this by purchasing an ABS slide and a 150% recoil spring, along with a metal outer barrel, just so it doesn't sound so plasticky. I'm wondering, will this work?

Yeah....but that abs slide may last you only a few months. Plus, the metal barrel will tear that slide apart, especially with the strengthened spring. Using a 150% spring is not necessary when you run a plastic slide with propane. In fact, it can actually break it.

If you want to raise the ROF of your USP, that spring should be enough to give you what you need with a metal slide installed.

Also, if i recall, those KWA USPs already have an upgraded spring set out of the box. Though I could be wrong. I can't remember.

I asked this question in a couple other places, and people were saying the ABS slide would be a good idea. What if I were to do the ABS slide without the metal barrel? After all, KWA is just the American brand of KSC, and the KSC guns come stock with ABS slides. I'm thinking that due to the reduced weight of the ABS + the spring it would raise the ROF? Also, I probably wouldn't do the thing with the metal barrel.

KWA usp, mk23, usp tac, usp match with the ns2 system already have awsome crips fast recoil. Hard to imagine it working faster.

Didn't he say it would be a bad idea, then you say well I'm pretty much going to do it anyay lol

ABS slide is $4 so I figured I might as well go for it.

the lighter make your slide, the faster it will cycle.with a strengthed spring, your plastic slide may crack because the slide return my be too powerful. your slide will litteraly fly off! the plastic barrel on my USP Match crack right down the middle of the chambr. KWA guns have a metal slide to prolong the slide's life expectancy with propane. ksc japanese version guns have a plastic slide because they are meant to shoot within the fps limits imposed by their goverment, which is lower than ksc taiwan's and USA. they are meant for use with the weaker duster gas. that's why taiwan versions have a metal slide because they don't have such a low fps restriction.

so in theory, yes. that set up will give you the ROF you are seeking. it will give you a fast cycle. but its a semi auto gun anyways. ROF really only matters on full auto guns, IMO.

Yeah I know why the slides are plastic. And I know that my slide could crack, but like I said, it's only $4 XD
Also, another question, I'm thinking about getting an RA Tech metal outer barrel, would this cause problems/damage?(it would be with the stock metal slide, not the ABS slide)

it's your money. do what you want.
that barrel is made out of steel. therefore it will be heavier than the aluminum ones. thus it will up your gas consumption a bit and may slow down your ROF steel doesn't mate well with pot metal. usually, it tends to chew it. plus, i heard that the RA Tech barrels are give and take with fitting so you may need to mod it to fit perfectly.

if you want a good set up without worrying about the longevity of your gun, spend some money and buy the shooter's design full kit. the recoil spring is amazing amd will give you what your looking for. the slide and barrel are light enough to give a nice crisp cycle with the spring.
