I've got a decade old pair of Hatch pads that I've used since I started playing. They haven't let me down yet.

what if you're oddly proportioned, do the crye/knockoff crye kneepads still sit in the correct location? Can they be moved around or is the location they attached to fixed?

I try to veer to the ghetto-fab side of kit. and I use a pair of parklands (EEEEP!) cadpat kneepads but I took the hard plastic off and I'm very very happy with them now. Just the underlying cushion for me is enough even bellyflopping on concrete or on jagged rocks. Also if you get true ACU cut pants there's a pocket in that you can shove some foam into for "integrated" knee pads that work surpisingly well.
If you want to be Gucci though for the Arc'Teryx knee caps. They are actually on my gear shopping list.

Personally I got a pair of Skydex knee pad inserts from SKD Tactical, and put them into the knee pad pockets of Propper pants (because those are the pants I have.) They were like $20, and so far they've been working great. I really hate wearing knee pads, straps digging into my legs, refusing to stay anywhere near my knee, pants riding up as you run...
So this way I can have the (necessary) protection of knee pads, without all the things that make me hate knee pads. These: http://www.skdtac.com/SKYDEX-Knee-Pa...-p/sky.104.htm |
