Repainting an airsoft rifle.
Has anyone repainted their already black aeg or gbbr black again? If so, how did it turn out? Were etched trades covered up? Did it look like it was repainted?

If the parts are metal, use BBQ paint and bake the part at 300F for 1 hour. This will give you a durable finish and won't flake or chip off. Don't use primer for this unless it's high temp primer. I've just finished a WE GBBR for a customer and it came out perfect. Flat finish will wear quicker than a semi or satin finish. Sand blast (media blast) the part before painting. This will make sure you have an even finish to paint. And the trades will look better.

wow that looks really good. it's actually the we m4 that i wanted to do this too. I don't own a sand blaster though. Thanks a lot for the tip!

Engine paint works great too. Primer is needed for bare pot metal though.
