Can you blue G&G RK47 magnesium receiver?
Hey all,
Just wondering if anybody knows or has tried to cold blue a G&G RK47 receiver and if it will/has worked? Granted the finish on the metal G&G AK is pretty damn nice, but mine's got some wear and tear on the finish and I want to go the whole nine yards with my build and cold blue it. I've already outfitted it with real steel furniture, so I want to make it look perfect with a cold blue job. I fell in love with the AK-47 Type III on Avtomats in Action 8O Just not sure if the magnesium receiver can take bluing all that well. Any input would be great! Thanks all |

Nope wont work. Cold blue react to the iron or carbon in steel iirc. 2 things absent in magnesium
