ball bearing

I just recently bought a grenade launcher and a shell. I open the and i saw a small ball bearing in the plastic. I just wondering what does it do and what would happen if I take it off thank you.

You found a loose ball bearing in the package? Well the shells use 4 ball bearings in the valve assembly.

no it was not loose its all grease and I just want to know what the ball bearing do inside the shells and what is for.

It's used in the valve assembly, to friction lock the release valve going up and down.
