MSA Sordin increasing comfort

So I gamed my new Sordin's at NFII. They worked amazingly, though I found that I had to take them off fairly often as they were doing all kinds of unpleasant things to my head.

They drove the arms of my eyepro into my temples a lot, which was the worst part.

Also, I don't know if they're all like this, but with mine, the two cans are not angled the same on the head band... thus leading to the band digging in to one side of my head.

Any suggestions? Good eyepro for using sordinds? Gel ear cups?

If you have an ops-core, get the arc rail adapters. I ran them for 24 hours straight, it was honestly a godsend. Get in touch with Rookie_Ab, he should be able to set you up.

If no helmet, well I heard the gel earcups are good.

get eye pro with the low profle arms, makes a huge difference. I find running the headband loose (not taped up) helps alot, same with the arc rail adapters. Makes a big difference.

The biggest question is are you using repros or actual MSA Sordins? This will have a lot to do with it.

For a double whammy of comfyness, get gel ear cups and ARC adapters if you have a FAST helmet. They really work well.

They're real sordins. I don't run a helmet, I can't find one that fits comfortably. I also have too much hair...

So looks like I'll get a pair of gel cups. Are they difficult to install? Are there different brands or is it just MSA that makes 'em?

As other's have said: gel earcups are worth their weight in gold! You can get them at most ranges for $40 and they pop in and out with minimal effort.

Took me 30 seconds to swap mine over. Did it on the store's counter immediately after purchasing.
