Wouxun KG-UVD1P troubles

Alright, I've searched high and low for an answer to this, and I'm caving and asking the question.

I'm having an issue with my Wouxun, in that it is constantly receiving a signal. Any channel I go to, with or without CTCSS, high power, low power, wide band, narrow band, I get a solid "Busy" and solid green light.

Sometimes it'll stop, and sometimes it'll work fine for long periods, but it always ends up doing it again. I've tried all the settings I can think of, and am starting to wonder if there's just something wrong with my radio.

Anyways, if anyone has an idea of something I could try, or suggestions on how to fix this I'd appreciate it, otherwise I'm just gonna save my pennies and try a Puxing, cause I've had it with this radio.

To put a + in the "this radio is just broken" column, if I apply pressure to the handset, like press the battery in a little tighter, the green light stops. If I let that pressure off, within a few seconds it lights up again.

Tried it :-(

Tho what I did try just this evening, was opening it up. There's a ribbon cable that connects the two boards together, and the cable was not quite plugged in all the way. Plugged it in tight and clamped it down proper, and (for now) it seems to be working properly, tho we'll see how long it lasts.

A little tech work and (hopefully) you're all set
