(Help!) Maruzen P99 Recoil Spring guide disassembly/installation?
Hey folks! So I've just recieved a Shooter Design Metal Slide and a 150% recoil spring for my Maruzen Walther P99 and I've finished installing the slide. However, I have NO IDEA how to disassemble the recoil rod to remove the spring. The little "split end" won't budge from the rod. I don't want to fumble with it in anyway for the risk of damaging the rod. Can anyone help me?

Already seen it. Like I've said, none of the parts on the recoil rod wants to budge. I'm afraid that I'll break it if I force anything.

If I remember correctly (had one a long time ago), you have to put a flat screw driver in the rear-most part (the one that is split) and twist it to open the gap. That should let you pull the shaft out and take everything apart. Careful not to break that part though.

Trying to do just that, but it just seems like it'll snap. Why would they design a spring guide like this?!?!
Edit: Still won't budge. Seems like no one seems to know about this one gun in particular... Last edited by MrBeatnikSoul; August 12th, 2013 at 21:31.. |
