Hopup misplacement/crooked?
Hey guys, I'm new to ASC and slightly new to fixing AEGs (I've fixed a couple).
So what I've done is taken my gun (an ak type) apart after a bb got jammed in the hop-up unit (Trying cybergun brand bio bbs in the gun may not have been the best move, even though they've worked fine in other guns) and then I put it back together. note: the V3 gearbox was removed, but not touched past that (except I took the moter out to check that it was still working ) and, as always, I tried shooting one or two blanks before fully putting it back together and it worked fine. My problem now is when I put any magazine in: On full auto it sounds like something is stripping On semi auto it only fires every second shot or cycle and the gear stripping noise is gone but it sounds muted Now I've seen other people with this problem and mine has not been like theirs ; my magazine is fine (I tried mid, low, and highcaps), and it's not the bbs (I tried a few shots with better quality bbs). I'm wondering if my hopup chamber/ feed tube is crooked or something or if maybe something is misaligned. Any help I can get would be much appreciated! Fixed
After a few minutes of inspecting my hop-up unit I found that the rubber on the hopup was stuck on full, so I sprayed some silicone oil all up in there and wiggled it around and it seems to work fine now.
