The JTF is more secret unit in the CF. CSOR is a replacement unit for the SSF. The concept is CSOR is like the US Rangers a unit that can be deployed very fast but add the ability to go and train other places as the US SF does.
The JTF is the ones that are sent to do the classified missions and the dirty work. |

Not really a surprise to me though. I've heard a lot of sillier ones, like say ones with liberal arts degrees that are infantry. My personal favorite was this one airforce guy in my platoon back in basic, he was a theater arts major, specializing in Shakespearean arts. Great guy, really good at impersonating our instructors which always gave us a good chuckle.
