G&G GR16 R4 question

I bought a G&G GR16 R4 from a friend and was wondering if anyone has any previous experience with this rifles internals? I cant find anything on it. I want to upgrade it but i dont want to if i dont know its internals and feel weary taking it apart. It has a ABS lower receiver and the rest of the externals are metal. It is a solid stock with the battery compartment in the back. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It should be a "version 2" gearbox inside. Most AEG AR platform airsoft guns are built on the v2.

The v2 design is from a company called Tokyo Marui, and almost every AEG manufacturer since then has copied the design, and is by far the most common gearbox design. So if you do a google search for a version 2 gearbox takedown, you'll find what you need, even if it's for a gun from a different company.

Hmm, the features of this gun is also very effective and most of the folks like this gun and it was very popular in site of airsoft gun list.

Pretty much your standard V2. No hidden surprises. I have one of these modded for a 30rps ROF and I consider it my 'go-to' AEG.
