Can i import pmags from hong kong ?

Im looking forward to get some beta project pmags from hong kong. Only problem is that pmag have a tiny line with golden cartridges. It doesent show the full cartridge but still some shiny casing.
So my question is will the cbsa let it through. ?

the answer would be no, most likely.

You can ask ehobby to take them apart and remove the plates that fit in the windows to have them sent separately. If they're anything like my pts ones, it's just 1 screw to pull the shell off and put them back in.

I've heard of asking ehobby to put electrical tape over the windows.. for black magazines... but I'm not sure how far that will get... especially if you get something like FDE or FG mags. lol.

If you want to risk it, the risk is all on you. If they take them, your name will forever be put on that mythical list.

If they have fake bullets (which the betas do) the general census seems to be no, however shops have had them in stock so it's really 6 of one 1/2 dozen of the other.

I don't think that's entirely legal to just cover it with tape but hey if it works. The beta project p mags don't come apart at all, at least mine didn't, you could pull the spring out and that was about it.

I bought ones with the fake window bullets for my VFC 417 from the US and they got through fine. I'm not sure why they would be an issue honestly. As long as they can't be converted to be used in a RS they should not be prohibited. I mean our AS guns look so realistic, does it really matter if there are fake bullets on the mag?

ems probably or over the small packet weight limit. That's not terribly uncommon for 2 boxes of stuff.
