business idea ... Target stores

Dragon Den idea... how about some enterprising business person, take over a part of the bankrupt Target store leases and open up indoor airsoft fields... The first one needs to be in Kingston ; We have students, we have backwoods country folks, we have a military base and RMC and we have a Target store closing - lets get it done... I can be your first employee!
someone, someone please open an indoor field!!

Or....why not make a airsoft store that actually has more then three items you need?

I absolutely hate buying 1-3 items from one store and having to do that at 7 different stores to get what I need...end up paying for several items in shipping alone.

Hell, Canada needs its own evike crazy warehouse store. Just not as shitty, and with better shipping options.

Leasing would be difficult. Unfortunately, I don't think most of the property owners/managers like the idea of an airsoft field. Would just take one AH transporting his gun without a case and you'd lose the space, if they let you have it to begin with.

As for the stores... I have to imagine it's difficult for AS stores in Canada. Stock is expensive, hard to import and we don't have much of a customer base. Think of all the different items you need to stock, all the guns, parts for those guns, accessories, upgrades, tactical gear.... etc. Evike probably does more business in one day than some of the stores up here do in a month.

Dragons Den is an interesting thing, when I was studying in Ryerson. I watched that show turn into a HUGE show.
One of my professors is part owner/creator of dragons den and personally knows all the dragons.

To lease a zellers store you would need an ungodly amount of money. You would have a huge challenge renting a zellers attached to a mall. All it would take is one dumbass to step out of a target in full combat gear and freak out some one in the mall.

So then you are left with a free standing target. They are prime realestate. It would be cost prohibitive to rent one of these locations. If you wanted to open an airsoft field indoors your best bet would be a low rent retail bay or two in a mall, or an industrial warehouse. It could even work if you secured a floor in a cheap office building.
