I will rarely, and I mean RARELY, agree with or support anything out of this guys mouth, but in this case, he's right.

It's a gimmicky product to begin with that offers no advantage over CLP or any other brand of proven Cleaning/Lubricant/Preventative product. It's garbage, I've seen it gunk and cake in an umber of real firearms, why people use it on airsoft is beyond me. Worse than that, you guys seem to fucking slather it all over the place.

Just stick to white lithium grease -__-

Real or airsoft? :P

I was talking GBBR, also not sure why I typed white lithium grease, I meant this shit:http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/automo...ontent=Default

EDIT: Though you can get Pure WHite Lithium Grease (not all petroliumed up), it's good to go for Gearboxes and I've used it in GBBR and GBBP

I was using the Permatex White Lithium in my gbbrs until I realized it was caking like crazy after a while
And when it happens it's such a pain to remove and clean... Never again will I use this stuff

I now use synthetic grease (linked in a post above) with better results, and stick to heavy silicon oil for the oring stuff

I don't put it on my o-rings as I am aware it causes them to swell (as designed).

I've been using graphite powder in my GBBPs for years and no problems.

Don't mix Frog lube with any other lube or oil. Run it straight or don't run it at all.

I run the typical airsoft silicone oil, and for grease I use a silicone grease. Get the oil when you get BBs etc. Get the grease from a car parts place; it's used on brake caliper parts; if you use regular auto grease there you damage the rubber seals.

I've used dry graphite lock lube during builds but not for regular daily use.

Yep as has been stated. From lube=gimmicky. I could see its usefullness in RS applications however if the item will sit for a time it will need to be either pre heated or re lubed (kinda pointless imo)
I use super lube synthetic (basically the same stuff linked at crappy tire above) for all metal on metal contact/friction points like slide to frame, bolt, etc. ...
I use heavy weight shock oil on plastic bits, airseal parts like the piston oring in pistols and gbbr ' s. And in the cooler months I switch over to a lighter oil for those jobs, the grenade or gbb oil from the propane adapters to be exact.
