Question RIBBONS for an airsoft team?

Hello ladies and gentlemen, I have recently (within the past two or so years) created a ribbon and award system for my team for accomplishing tasks or reaching certain goals or places of rank/authority in the team. I want to know what other airsofting outside of our team think of this. Do you feel it's strange or even wrong to create these ribbons. Non of these ribbons are based off of any real life versions from any country (that I know of). Let me know what you think if this idea and whether you agree or not.

Thanks.

Spike. (IHM-01)

We did ranks and stuff on the last 4 teams I was on, it's really just a childish token system.
The ranks mean nothing and people get pissed off when newer people with more skill get placed above them.
It's GOOD to train your team, there's no issue with brownie points for learning stuff, but ranks are pretty well meaningless. In the field the team always listens to the person who knows what they're doing, not the person with the highest pretend rank.
