Yard = No-No
. Do not use these in public, in your basement is fine, in your yard is absolutely a no-no, fenced or not. You should always read up on these types of things before you buy as most people will not like to use gas guns in their basement. Go to a game, even if you can't play, watch and ask some questions, if you do good, they may invite you to play. So far the impression you have given us is only that you did little or no research on the sport and your parents have been unimformed of the amount of responsibility needed for Airsoft.

Where abouts are you located in Alberta? If your in the Red Deer or Calgary area, the age limit is 16, and I'm sure we would rather you come out a feild ment for airsoft than letting you shoot the gun in your back yard. If your located in Edmonton, then your pretty much screwed till your 18 and if people know your being a idiot with your guns (like playing with them in the back yard) you will most likely be banned from most clubs regaurdless of your age.

Propane is fine to use with the KSC G19, mine has been through a few thousand rounds and still works like a charm. Some have claimed the slides have broken, is possible, others have no problems. Same as the KSC M11A1, I've run mine stock on propane and have knocked off at least 5000rds and not an issue, others have had bolts break. Not that it should make any difference, but mine are both the Jap KSC (JASG).
