Smungarians eke out a narrow victory in Op: Glory Hole

On a cold windy October 15, two city states finally clashed as each side sought out the services of bio-chemist Jerkinov Nnfrunnamme. Under a hail of plastic death, the Borovians fought through the Smungarian defenders. But did they truly escape with the chemist? Or had they only succeeded in bringing a turncoat into their ranks? Only time will tell.

Storyline:

It is a dark day in the history of the once proud Republic of Smungaria. The once vibrant economic powerhouse is now a den of drug traffickers, arms deals, petty warlords and private armies.

Some insurgents, believing their homeland to be beyond redemption, have left Smungarian borders to seek a better life elsewhere. Others engage in the inevitable power struggle for dominance within Smungarian borders, and unwittingly have carved out new territories, which even now begin to encroach on surrounding states.

Due to the ongoing internal conflicts in Smungaria, imperialists from the neighboring state of Borovia have deemed this an exceptionally opportune time to reclaim its borders and perhaps gain some extra territory as well.

In this new cold war, conspiracies abound, agents run rampant as sides struggle for dominance. Two new powers have emerged...Free Armies of Borovian International Organization and the Smungarian Totalitarianist Dominion.

They maintain an uneasy truce, but only because both sides fear economic sanctions from the Polizei Externale Nationale in charge of Internal Land Locked Nations.

Our focus is on the DMZ between Smungaria and Borovia, known colloquially as The Hinterlands where both sides bicker over ownership, but have yet to engage in full blown combat. Still, tensions ride high, to the point of bursting. Who knows what will happen when FABIO finally encounters the STD's in force? If such an event occurs, is PENicILLN powerful enough to fix the problem? Or will it simply turn a blind eye and let nature take its course?
