P90 upgrade

I want to get a new spring, metal bushings and a longer barel for my P-90 TR. Does anyone have any suggestions?? And is it easy to change all these parts?? Can I do it myself or should i get someone that knows how??

If you have any question at all about doing it, then simple answer is get a pro to do it. You will be cracking your mech box to install some of those parts, and thats not always a good thing to do if you do not know what you are doing.

Check here for the spring chart:

I would suggest just a mild spring upgrade, such as a PDI 120%. As for the longer barrel you can just get any longer inner barrel, say from an M4 AEG and cut it down to whatever length you need, and then hide it under a silencer.

If you've never opened up the gearbox before I suggest someone else doing it for you. Watch them open it up so you know how to do it for later on.

Well, all I have are metal bushings and a 150% spring. You have to shim the gears and stuff I read, so instead of screwing anything up I just sent my stuff away to a gunsmith to upgrade for me, much safer that way. If you're gonna upgrade your spring and you don't know much about the gearbox, I suggest you get someone who knows what they're doing with it.

If you have to ask, then don't do it yourself.

I think the hint is to have it done, and watch.

a mechbox is simple a matter of putting things back togher the way they came out. Having an online refrence guide helps though.
Im sure most people could look at the online guides and do it themselves. Its not like you need to be l33t or be in a special club.

I don't exactly remember, but I think I read something about when you upgrade the spring, you have to shim the gears or something, and get the timing down right.

Mind you, that I have never taken apart my mechbox, so I have no idea what I really just said, just what I read =/.

If this person was confident enough or had enough know-how, he would have attempted it already and he wouldn't be asking this question.
