I think i need bump it down to 8.4v. Im currently running a 9.6v 1700Mah battery. I don't know if trigger lag was what i meant though. There is so little effort to move the spring, that when you really givver in semi, it kinda feels sloppy. Full auto is insane though...ROF is scary. It still sounds smooth as butter though. It doesnt make any high pitched noises...kinda spooky

i think its probably the systema complete mechbox being very smooth in operation. with the systema high torque motor there isnt much effort and therefore your battery will last longer. so you can use a 8.4v mini battery and still have it cycle fully/smoothly =)
just a theory.. anyway besides that.. how does the mechbox sound in comparison to TM stock gearbox with or without internal upgrades? i guess its hard to compare if you dont have another aeg.. dont really have to answer that. great setup. just need to peice my lil m4 together and unveil it as soon as it's done

It sounds much smoother. It has a very soft non stressful sound to it. I hooked the gun up to 8.4v mini and the ROF wasnt as great but it still sounded nice.
As long as these boxes are sold, i will have one in each ver2 mechbox AEG i get.

Here is a low-end quick review thing.
Build quality/Finish: I took off the upper reciever, took a peek at what this little gun packs. First off, this metal body is one of the nicest i have ever owned. As far i am concerned, it puts systema to shame in terms of "fitting." It has a nice matte black finish, it's very solid and the removable carry handle is a luxery. The gun has some heft. I weighed it and it's about 8 pounds stock- 3700g. It's about 2 pounds heavier than a stock TM. This gun is like a tree. Plain and simple. The barrel is not 1 peice. Its is 3 like all TM's- So the chamber block bolts to the barrel, and the front sight assembly bolts to the barrel. Don't be fooled by this. I grabbed the gun by its barrel and shook it around. I am very impressed. I was planning on getting a nice Guarder 1 peice steel barrel. I will keep this stock outer barrel. It's definately prooved itself worthly. The Forgrips are tight and do not wiggle unlike the TM armalite versions. They are also a nice matte finish (similar to G&P front sets) There is nothing much special about the stock. It's your generic set up. The mag it comes with it is actually pretty decent (300rd highcap)- I am not one for highcaps though. One thing that i have noticed (that stands out from ANY airsoft armalite i have owned) is that there is absolutely no magazine movement at all. THe highcap also doesn't missfead. The mag spring in it is fucking hardcore. The gun really feels solid. It's actually more solid than the Dozalite (the mag part). I think SRC may have changed the mag latch or something. There is a nice loud click sound when the mag is locked. You would figure that the mag is jammed in the thing. Press the magazine release button and it pops out no problem. Preformance: It will be going to it's first game today. The conditions will be about -8 or so. These temperatures can kill an AEG's mechbox. We shall see how she holds up. Anyway, I havn't opened up the mechbox yet. I checked out the motor. I would say that the motor is on par with an EG700- Maybe a little less than an EG1000. By the sound of the mechbox, i'm almost positive these guns come stock with an aluminum piston head. There is a high pitched smack when dry firing. The box sounds smooth when under load. It has a destinct "snap" to it. Problems: Well, the only "problem''- if you would even call it that- is that the hopup is hard to get at. When you pull back on charging handle, the dust cover plops down (and normally, the internal plate thing, slides back with the charging handle movement). The plate is stiff as shit. I kept pulling and pushing the charging handle until it finally wore down some of the frictionafied metal. Now she works well. Field testing: Well, the gun survived the very cold temperature. It was shooting bang on 300fps. Gun was smooth and had similar preformance to stack TM M4. Some people there were amazed that sucka cheap gun would last. A few people's AEG's malfunctioned and alot of people's batteries froze up. Mine was still kickin'. Very good buy.
