Leg drop magazine holder twisting
Couldnt find a G3 mag holder for the price I wanted and the style I wanted so I made up some patterns, got some 1000D Cordura and made my own. Works great but just trying it on, when I walk it starts twisting around my leg moving towards the front of my thigh instead of staying on the side. Dont have any pics but it has a single drop strap from my belt and two straps around my leg like most other drop leg mag holders I've seen.
Any ideas why its twisting? Thanks |

move the vertical web belt strap farther towards your butt and make sure it stays there. ie:velcro on duty belt and velcro inside strap.
If you're sewing it yourself, you could try and sew a thin strip of rubber (like bike inner tube)to the inside of the strap so it increases the friction on the leg strap. |

Go to Canadian Tire or Walmart, ask someone around the dish section for shelf liner. I'ts a thin foam sticky type pad that keeps dishes and glasses from sliding around on the shelf. Is cheap too and has many uses (I cut to shape 3 peices on each side and put them in the arm/elbow pockets on my DZ Recce Smock for padding....... not too thick, yet pads it rather well. Did the same thing to my ghillie suit front under the canvas). Glue or sew that to the insides of the strap, and double or triple up the hanger peice, that will fix it as well. Needs to be quite stiff.

Another solution would be to hit the gym and start with some 350+ pound squats. Once you have 30" thighs, it won't slide around as much.

Thanks, I thought it was some critical design flaw on my part, didnt know it would be that easy to fix.
*smacks self for not seeing the simple obvious solutions* |

EDIT: Guess the velcro would work too
