Pattern matching
Hey guys, I'm currently looking to acquire a Russian BDU and a matching vest. I've narrowed it down to either the M7 BDU or the Noch 91M as well as the V-95 vest and M21 vest. My question is which pair of BDU will match the best with any of the vests, both in Kamysh pattern. I've heard that the M7 matches best with the M21 but looking at the pics from RCG I'm not too sure about it. I want experts opinions , just kidding, I want to hear from people who currently have them or seen them. Thanks for your help.

Usually it depends on which Russian manufacture makes each piece of gear, at least thats what i've found in dealing with most Russian gear.
I've got a set of the Noch 91M's and a Vityaz vest, which are both made by the ANA company and match perfectly. Although for some Russians, they'll wear just about anything.

Yeah, I gotta ask the need to match as well. most russians do not. In fact, its kinda a trade mark of the russian soldier and one main reasons I have so much fun with russian gear collecting and putting together the more authentic looks.
That being said, to actually help you some what. The Kamysh Vitiaz vest I have matches perfectly with the ANA Kamysh Bekas cut BDU's I have. Any of the non green varients should be close enough. I have a picture at home of all the manufacturers version of kamysh and what it looks like to give you an idea. If you would like the picture let me know, I'm sure I could post it for you. enjoy putting together the look, I had a lot of fun with it myself!! Cory |

Why do you not pick up a neutral Russian vest(od). That way you can buy multiple russian uniforms. The vityaz is a very nice vest though. I have only personally seen it in Kamysh so far. If you want something light weight but with plenty of carry capacity you should try the m22. I have this in od and it is a very decent vest.
Yeah shlappy post up some pictures. I've got a feeling fo the flava! Chalcus. |
