I also have had this problem too pyle. I just bought a can of Colemans and my 4.3 hicapa vents all the gas out and i get that white film as well. I was wondering what the hell happened, i took out the internals as well and lubed em up and double checked to make sure that nothing was loose, and it still did it.
Only problem now is Someother companies their threads aren't very friendly to my adapter. They can be a real bitch to screw on. and somtimes the nozzle doesn't stay in, always falls out. What other companies do you guys recommend if Coleman isn't working anymore?

I reccommend Ozark Trail propane. I have had no problems using it with my TM 4.3 HiCapa.

ok, yea its weird, just as i got on asc i was testing my 4.3 which is not even 2 months old, just had a new custom shop slide installed and the damn thing stopped firing, and there is this white film. (no it isn't from the spray when it's cold, this film actually is sticking on until you clear it off)

Where are you guys buying propane? Has Coleman started packaging blended gas?
I've used Coleman with good effect for quite a few cans now.

Just to verify...the innovations adapter will work with the 'Ozark Trail' container, correct? Just in case Coleman does go to scheiss??

They work on all those little cans, the mini-welding cans too. I use the tall and skinny Mastercraft bottles. In the blue bottle. |

I picked up a bottle of Coleman Propane last night at walmart (before I saw this thread) and upon reading this I got curious, so I loaded up two hicapa mags and they worked great and the gun shot normaly with no white cloud or discharge. It sounds to me like you got a bad batch or there is something affecting the performance. Good luck.

Possibly phasing in a different batch? Not like every single bottle in stores right now came the same day. I'd be curious if they did change it. I've never had any problems with the brand or their product, but be good to know if that consistancy will stay in the future. I might just go with the blue torch bottles from now on, just because they take up less room in my duffle bag among the rest of my gear.

I've noticed that Coleman has recently released some of their propane with brown lables vs. their normal white-green labels, is there a 'New Improved Formula' or something? Or are they just going on a new marketing trend?

I'm going to have to find me a car and visit a Walmart. I haven't found a can with brown on the label yet. Could you post a pic for me?
