installing a metal slide USP COMPACT help!!
anyone know of any tricks to release the slide from the frame of a USP COMACT? recently bought a G&G metal slide and barrel for my KSC USP compact...put the slide on...and now i cannot remove it!! and yes i did release the slide catch but it simply wont come off.. anyone else have this problem???

Did you release or remove the slide catch?
Pull the slide back so the pivot on the slide lock is lined up with the notch in the slide and push the pivot pin on the right side towards the left. The whole slide ass'y should slide forward off the frame. Be sure to remove the mag too.

Well, if you can't take off the slide, then good luck disassembling the inner workings of the slide. My suggestion: find someone who knows what they are doing and get them to do it.

Eugh, the G&G slide I've heard is a big pain in the arse to get working flawlessly, takes a bit of modding so they say. Theres a good read on ArniesAirsoft.co.uk, but for the life of me cant remember where to find it. Track it down because its a good resource on how to install that particular slide.

thanks guys for your help, had i known what a hassle this G&G slide was going to be i would have ordered another one...
for some reason i have never had this problem with any gun...but this sucker is stuborn.... (BY THE WAY I DIDNT MENTION THAT THE SIGHTS, AND EVERYTHING ELSE ON THIS SLIDE KIT DOESNT WANT TO FIT EITHER!!!) it feels like im trying to fit a Glock 26 slide onto a Glock 19 frame.... |
