Do you understand how a silencer works?

What they're talking about is people who put *CUSTOM* barrels into their guns to get that little bit more umph out of them. (Lameman's terms: People put a inner barrel that without a silncer, it would be sticking out of the gun's barrel, They then attach a silencer to hide that.)

You're talking about chopping off the front end of an AK.. and adding a silencer... (From what I've read atleast)

That's a No No.

Edit: You shouldn't argue with Greylocks... From what I've read of him posting He knows what he's talking about and then some.

Wow, you have no idea what I am talking about, lol. Obviously if I wanted to buy an AK47 and chop off the barrel I would just buy a Beita. That is not what I want to do at ALL. I tried to explain this many times but I guess its hard to picture. I want to keep the AK47's inner barrel length at stock, but I want to cover the entire inner barrel with a silencer. So basically, right after the front grip I want to place a silencer, thats all. I have not seen this done before with AK47's. Obviously I could buy a Beita and extend the inner barrel and then buy a matching piston but that is just more money. I am going to wait until I buy my AK and find some local guys to talk to since my explanations dont seem to be working on here.

Oh, and obviously I wouldnt argue with Greylocks because he DOES know much much more then I do. Its just that it is hard to explain things on here so there is miscommunication. Did't Greylocks say, that it would take you like a week of writting on here to learn the samething that you could learn in 10 minutes talking to someone in person? Thats why I am going to find some local people.

I just wanted to know if anyone else has done it yet.

Oh and I obviously knew that a silencer would fit on the AK47, because I went through an entire picture thread on arnies forum to get hundreds of ideas. I probably saw 200 pictures, some with silencers. All the guns with silencers that I saw looked bad to me. Most of the silencers were way out on the tip of the barrel, which is not what I am looking for.
The attachment point for Supressors on AKs are on the very tip of the barrel, directly infront of the front sight.

I think I figured out what you are trying to do; transform an AK into a gun that looks like the SD series of the MP5?

If yes, it has not been done and would also be a bitch to manufacture. There's also the fact that in real life, an AK works in a certain way. It needs the gas port in the barrel to push the action's piston back. So that would never be covered by a suppressor.

In airsoft, apart from the cost, there's no reason why you could not do it. Personally I think it would look extremely silly and unrealistic, but it's your money. I hope you know a good (and cheap) machinist.
