Eagle CIRAS set up instructions
Doubt this is a repost, and haven't a clue if ALL CIRAS replicas have this system ( I know they have the "cumberbun", but the rest of it.............).
Anyways, had a thought about tactical vests/plate carriers, for a while the weesatch was all the rage, at least among airsofters, then along came the CIRAS. Honestly, I haven't even TRIED one or the other on, and was searching around looking for info on how to tell the differences between them all, and came across this: http://www.finnrappel.fi/eagleciras.htm I think modern plate carriers are the shit for functionality and looks, but it's not for me just based upon the airsoft weaposn I use (MP5 and M24), as well as the fact, in my oft prone/crawling sniper mode (even if I'm just acting like a DSM for the most part......... aka. no ghillie) I still can't have shit on my stomach/chest. Anyways, if the link I posted is helpful to even just one person, then all this typing was worth the effort. |

My vest is very similar in configuration to the CIRAS. When I need to work as a sniper, I just put the pocket higher up on the chest and the rest I put them under my harms. That way, I can lay confortably in the prone position and still access my pouches.
Like this. The thing I dislike, is that the vest will sometime raise and strangle you a bit when you are crawling. But it's a small issue.

I would like to see the install guide on the Phantom one point sling. Im daft to the concept of two straps and not one. Like do the straps go through each shoulder pad then to the back or what.
Great guide though.. Looks easier than the other one I seen.

I have the phantom ciras, and its very comfortable. I suggest that you do not place any pockets or pouches in the front if your going to be prone. As long as you get the right fit, it will be nice and tight around the body. Nothing feeling loose.
